PETRA CARMICHAEL

 
Petra Carmichael is a Ashtanga & Power Yoga Teacher and Certified Pilates Instructor. After travelling around the world to study with yoga masters such as Lino Miele, Paul Dallaghan, Petra is back in Zagreb. Her classes will be in Croatian and English and will be open for beginners and advanced students a like. Together with Steven Liebes she will further develop the Ashtanga program by adding more Ashtanga classes to our schedule, in addition to new evening classes.

Petra Carmichael was born in Czech Republic. She has always been involved in sports like skiing and snowboarding. In1998 she moved to Australia where she studied natural therapy and was introduced to yoga for the first time. While attending yoga classes she became more interested in study of yoga and its philosophy. Once on the path of yoga, Petra returned to Europe and immediately started intensive courses. After studying with Dominic Carigliano and Paul Dallaghan (authorized teacher by Pathabi Jois) Petra decided to move to Croatia continuing practicing and teaching power yoga and Ashtanga. November 2005 she finally went to India where she traveled and studied yoga in Mysore.

Ever since, she exclusively studied with teachers such as Lino Miele, Sarah Willis, Michael Gannon, Meditation and Pranayama with Emil Wendel, Astanga Vinyasa Yoga practice with Gabriella Pascoli, Goa, India and Paul Dallaghan. She was certified to teach Hatha Ashtanga Bharath Shetty internationally recognized by American alliance of yoga.
